Frobenius ∞ invariants of homotopy

We construct a functor from the derived category of homotopy Gerstenhaber algebras, g, with finite-dimensional cohomology to the purely geometric category of so-called F ∞-manifolds. The latter contains Frobenius manifolds as a subcategory (so that a pointed Frobenius manifold is itself a homotopy Gerstenhaber algebra). If g happens to be formal as a L ∞-algebra, then its F ∞-manifold comes equ...

Godbillon-vey Invariants for Families of Foliations

The classical Godbillon-Vey invariant is an odd degree cohomology class that is a cobordism invariant of a single foliation. Here we investigate cohomology classes of even degree that are cobordism invariants of (germs of) 1-parameter families of foliations. In this paper we study an analogue of the classical Godbillon-Vey invariant [6] that is an invariant not of a single foliation but of a fa...

Vassiliev Homotopy String Link Invariants

We investigate Vassiliev homotopy invariants of string links, and find that in this particular case, most of the questions left unanswered in [3] can be answered affirmatively. In particular, Vassiliev invariants classify string links up to homotopy, and all Vassiliev homotopy string link invariants come from marked surfaces as in [3], using the same construction that in the case of knots gives...

Expansion of Bessel and g-Bessel sequences to dual frames and dual g-frames

In this paper we study the duality of Bessel and g-Bessel sequences in Hilbert spaces. We show that a Bessel sequence is an inner summand of a frame and the sum of any Bessel sequence with Bessel bound less than one with a Parseval frame is a frame. Next we develop this results to the g-frame situation.

FINITE TYPE LINK HOMOTOPY INVARIANTS II: Milnor’s ¯µ-invariants

We define a notion of finite type invariants for links with a fixed linking matrix. We show that Milnor's link homotopy invariant ¯ µ(ijk) is a finite type invariant, of type 1, in this sense. We also generalize this approach to Milnor's higher order ¯ µ invariants and show that they are also, in a sense, of finite type. Finally, we compare our approach to another approach for defining finite t...
